Who we are

Digi Solution runs digi-bd.com. We have supplied POS, barcode and RFID equipment to businesses in Bangladesh since 2003. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Digi Solution.

What we collect and why

When you send us a message or request a quotation. This covers the contact form, the cart and quotation form, and the catalogue download form. Depending on the form, we ask for your name, business name, phone number, email address, delivery area, the products you want and your message. We also save your IP address with the request, to help us stop spam. We use this information to reply to you, prepare quotations and follow up on your enquiry.

When you message us on WhatsApp. If you send your cart or a question through WhatsApp, the conversation takes place in WhatsApp. We see your phone number and whatever you write.

How visitors use the site. We run a simple visitor counter of our own. It records pages viewed, how long a page was open, how far you scrolled, clicks on buttons such as call and WhatsApp, search words, the site you came from, and your device type, browser and operating system. It does not record your name, phone number or email, and it does not show you ads. We use it to see which pages are useful and what is broken. Our own staff visits and known bots are left out.

Information kept in your browser. The site stores a few small items on your device so it works properly: a session cookie and a security cookie that protect our forms, your language and light or dark choice, the items in your cart or comparison list, the details you typed into the cart form so you do not have to retype them, and random ID numbers for the visitor counter. This information stays on your device. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use your information

We use it to answer your enquiries, prepare and send quotations, arrange delivery, provide warranty and service, keep the site secure, and understand how the site is used. If you give us an email address, we send a confirmation of your request to it. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Other companies involved

• Our hosting and email providers store the website, its database and our business email. Enquiries are emailed to our staff.
• WhatsApp and Meta. When you choose to message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp and Meta handle that conversation under their own privacy policies. Our Facebook page is also run on Facebook, which has its own rules.
• Google. The map on our home and contact pages is a Google Maps embed, and "Get directions" opens Google Maps. Google may receive your IP address when the map loads.
• YouTube. Some product pages show a product video from YouTube. We use the privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube still receives data when a video is played.

We do not use these companies to track you for advertising. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, quotations and the contact details you gave us for as long as we need them to serve you and keep our business records. We delete them sooner if you ask (see below). Visitor counter records are deleted automatically after 13 months.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Contact us by WhatsApp on 01713-068939, by email at sales@digi-bd.com, or through the contact page. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm your name and phone number first.

Data deletion

To have your data deleted, send us a message with the subject "Delete my data". Use any of these:

1. WhatsApp: 01713-068939, or tap here to start the message.
2. Email: sales@digi-bd.com.
3. The contact page, with the subject "Delete my data".

Please include the name and phone number or email address you used with us, so we can find your records. We will delete your enquiries and contact details from our website database and confirm to you when it is done, normally within 30 days. We may need to keep a basic record of a completed sale or warranty claim where the law or our accounting requires it. If that applies, we will tell you.

The visitor counter does not store your name or contact details, so there is nothing in it we can link to you. Clearing your browser data removes its ID numbers from your device.

Children

This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
