Choosing a POS receipt printer

Most shops, restaurants and supermarkets use thermal receipt printers: they are fast and quiet and need no ink, only paper rolls. In kitchens, where heat and grease can fade thermal paper, impact (dot matrix) printers are the safer choice.

Check three things before buying: paper width (58 mm for small receipts, 80 mm for the standard bill), the connection your billing software expects (USB, LAN or Bluetooth), and whether you want an automatic cutter.

Reliable for all-day counters

For busy counters choose a printer built for continuous use, with a fast print speed and a long-life print head. Bixolon, the brand we have supplied in Bangladesh since 2003, is our main range for this, and Rongta is the value-priced option.

Support after the sale

Every printer comes with local warranty and service from our Dhaka team. We also help with driver setup for your billing software. Message us your counter setup and we will send a quotation.

Common questions

Which POS printer is best for a restaurant kitchen?

An impact (dot matrix) printer is usually best in kitchens, because it prints through heat and grease. For the billing counter, a thermal printer is faster and quieter.

What is the difference between 58 mm and 80 mm POS printers?

58 mm printers suit compact receipts and mobile use. 80 mm is the standard width for shop and restaurant bills, with room for more detail.

Do POS printers work with my billing software?

Most work with standard billing software over USB, LAN or Bluetooth. Tell us your software and we will confirm compatibility before you buy.

Who is the authorized Bixolon distributor in Bangladesh?

Digi Solution has been the sole Bixolon distributor in Bangladesh since 2003.
